Yoga has existed since the early 1500 BC. Contrary to what people think, it surely is not a fad. Sure, it is done by many now and is considered to be a healthy practice, but even before yoga centers existed, it has already been practiced by many as it is also Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism and Sikhism. But why do people practice yoga? What are it’s benefits?
Yoga is great for mind, body and soul. It helps with a person’s outlook and attitude towards life. Study shows that a person who practices at least three times a week are actually happier. It calms the mind and so it releases stress. Another benefit of yoga is that it takes away the aches people feel in their back, neck and and legs. It is also proven that a regular yoga routine would help with better sleep pattern. Insomniacs fall asleep 15 minutes faster and slept an hour longer after two months of doing a 45-minute series of yoga poses daily before bed. It is also a confidence booster!
