Many fail to realize that the physical and mental development of children should start with a proper and balanced diet early in life. We all live better and longer due to better diets and kids should not be excluded from the equation for they are at the developmental stage of life. As a child weans from milk and supplements, they should be encouraged to eat healthy foods introducing them early to the concept of a balanced meal. So next grocery trip, one should steer away from the junk food but focus more on fruits and veggies for healthier youngsters that grow better. Children should be given snacks that are low in sodium and other artificial flavoring agents that have the ability to impact growth and development. Obesity is also linked with improper diet so consult your pediatrician for the best dietary plan for your child.
