Myth: Avoid eating carbohydrate-rich foods and only eat high-protein
Fact: Sources of carbohydrates like bread, cereals, potatoes and rice are high in starch but are low in fat and calories. These should be eaten in small portions, but should always be a part of your meals as a source of energy for the body. Eating only high-protein foods will cause an imbalance and may result to heart disease, constipation, feeling of weakness and kidney stones. There should always be a balance on the nutrients in your diet, and starving yourself will not result to weight loss. In fact, it will increase the chances of craving which will cause you not to follow a diet program.
